Homeschool Hybrid

For homeschooling families seeking a fun, active and academically resourceful learning environment, our Home School Hybrid Program at Maximum Christian School offers the ideal solution. Your elementary and older students can benefit from socialization, discipleship, and professional support within our nurturing community. You choose from the individualized ACE pace system, teacher-directed classes or a combination of both. Core curriculum is offered including High School credit while you maintain control over your student’s overall schooling experience, including grades, transcript, and diploma. Aligned with your reasons for homeschooling, our mission is to provide an atmosphere of learning and discovery. Your hybrid student will attend MCS weekly, each Tuesday & Thursday and alternating Wednesdays, where they will engage in course work, take tests, socialize with peers, explore the Biblical worldview, participate in STEAM enrichments, group discussions and our annual Christmas play.

Students who read and write at a third grade level are eligible to apply for our elementary level hybrid program. A 6th grade reading and writing level is required to apply for our upper level hybrid program. The home-educator will be asked to sign a contract stating that they will follow the curriculum plan, which is an easy-to-use check-list, and commit to providing direct, daily supervision of the student's learning. Cooperation and good communication between the home-educating parent and the teachers ensures that this option results in a "best of both worlds" scenario, which our homeschooling families really like for the attendance flexibility.

An option we can discuss for your 4k- 2nd grade student is for them to attend M-Th until they are reading independently. Because of the nature of early learning, we have found that for our non-readers and early readers it is best that they be exposed consistently and daily to get the full benefit of a phonics curriculum. If your desire is to home-school but you want to make sure your child gets a good reading foundation, you may want to consider enrolling with MCS for the first couple years of the journey.
